The Greatest Fear Is To Be Alone

“You cannot be lonely if you like the person you’re alone with.” ~ Wayne Dyer

It is a sad state of affair that humankind has issues with being alone, it easily can be our greatest fear. We long to be with others, some say we are social animals or have we learned to cage ourselves within this belief.

Many of us are filled with terror and are deeply afraid of our own company. Being alone with yourself for many is grim and intimidating that we occupy ourselves with our work, business, hobbies, laptops, mobiles, social media, partner, friends, family and much more. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this but our so called elders forgot to teach us the importance of being alone.

Being alone in our silence is where some say we can truly find that peace we seek, as that is when we truly empathetically listen to the unsaid words and feelings that is us. For even we know all of this but knowing is not being. And the wiseman is the one who lives a life of being rather than just knowing.

We all can take that step to awaken ourself and learn to be alone. It is not about being lonely but about knowing oneself, who you truly are and heal your darkness so that you can let the light shine. For all the trash in your mind needs to be taken out. Only then you experience that no moment is ordinary but truly totally unique and divine.

Like many of you out there, I too am overcoming this fear of being alone. Let go of the control for nothing is under our control.

“There is a time for being ahead, a time for being behind; a time for being in motion, a time for being at rest; a time for being vigorous, a time for being exhausted; a time for being safe, a time for being in danger. The Master sees things as they are, without trying to control them. She lets them go their own way, and resides at the centre of the circle.” ~ Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
