It Is Not About Fashion, It Is About Style

“Fashion changes, but style endures” is a wonderful quote by Coco Chanel yet many of us indulge in fashion without recognising the core focus needs to be on style; its such an amazing metaphor for life itself.

Many define fashion, as a popular way of dressing during a particular time or among a particular group of people. On the other hand style is a manner of doing or presenting yourself, simply a distinctive manner of expression. For example you may wear a fashion label such as Armani but are unable to carry it with style. The whole charm of the attire is lost and you may come across as a show-off rather than a person of refinement.

In a similar manner most of you walk through life without style, in other words without amplifying your awareness, consciousness and energy to uplift yourself. You are so engrossed in the mundane fashion of life that you forget to taste life itself. Such people have the perfect excuse of saying they have no time and follow the fashion crowd. In other words you can live your life in fear or take the opportunity to live in the spirit of love. People who live with love make the time rather than hide behind excuses, they live their life in their own unique style.

Save your pathetic excuses. It’s not about “having time". It’s about "making time". When you make time for yourself and share your precious time with others you have moved from the realm of fashion into style. Your are then on the journey of serving yourself and others from the heart.

Yves Saint Laurent said, "Fashion is fleeting, style is eternal." Fashion is for the masses and difficult to keep up with but style is something that comes from within and leaves an everlasting impact on yourself and others. Either you can follow the masses to become asses or take a leap of faith to be who you truly are.

With your life you can either live it like fashion thus focus on the outer appearance, just as the clothing you wear. Or you can live in style, work from the inside out to fulfil your purpose of life, so no matter what clothing you wear you walk through life with phenomenal class. Your style goes beyond the body; it is a your body, mind, heart and soul being in complete alignment thus allowing you to be in your higher-self.

“When it comes to fashion, of course, I don’t like to be just like everybody else. Having my own identity is very important to me. I design for my own pleasure and it is important for me to get the whole look right. So more than just the dress, I also like to play with the styling. Trying stuff and changing them around, until I achieve just the right and complete look.” Furne One

It is amazing how Furne One powerful words could be related to your growth and evolution of life. You may stand by the riverbank and watch the water of life just pass by you. Clothed in the fashion of fears (that you call reality) you are frightened to jump into the water. A false impression lies within you that only when the perfect current will come along you will sail with comfort into the ocean. So, you wait for the flawless moment, which may or may not arrive.

Or you can take that leap of faith in love and with your own unique style just jump into the river and swim. You certainly will flow down the river of life even it means washing up just little bit further downstream. It is simply a step forward and you have done it your way.

The core essence of your style is governed by two emotions. One being love and the other fear.  It is due to your deepest fear you avoid pursuing the essence of love.

When you open the floodgates of your heart the magic begins. Be aware thoughts of fear, anger and lack creep in. They say they are your best friends. On the other hand please take this opportunity to keep focus, pay attention, be aware and breathe in the power of love.

Love is your inner eternal style, the only power that will ensure that you move forward and be in a truly loving relationship with yourself and others.

"Someday it's gonna make sense."

DJ of Your Life

I love listening to music; it can be any type as long as I like the sound of it. Otherwise you could say I am tone deaf. Music is amazing, it can get you on a high or completely low. Wait till you hear me sing, in my world I am a phenomenal singer, simply the best.

In fact reading on the subject of music I discovered to get positive results from music it needs to be on frequency 432Hz or 528Hz. This information is from the ancient Solfeggio scale and can be traced back to St. John The Baptist. Famous musicians (includes DJs) such as John Lennon, Paul McCartney and especially the classic composer Beethoven apparently played on these frequencies and you can see around you the magic they have created in the musical world and peoples heart.

These frequencies creates attuned vibration, which highly benefits the listener (and especially the musician) in the following way:
  • Raises your energy
  • Expands creativity and consciousness
  • Releases yourself from stress
  • Improves memories
  • Unlocks your potential
In an event when the DJ is playing those awesome tracks it gives a blissful edge to the whole experience. You may dance or just move to the beat and some get overly merrily on the alcohol. A DJ is such an integral part to that high and carefree experience.

Similarly, your life is a grand event and you are the DJ who is playing the records at this phenomenal gig. In fact you will need to develop your awareness to see what kind of “DJ of Your Life” you would prefer to be. You can either play the music at frequencies that benefits no one or nurture yourself in playing music at frequencies that uplift yours and others entire life.

Firstly, you could be a DJ who just creates a playlist with a simple pause after each track. And guess what, it is not interesting to the ear, its just music playing in the background. Neither you nor anyone else could care less about the music. There is no wish to enjoy the music or dance to it. In other words you could just let life pass by without awareness, consciousness and non-productively use your energy.

Or you can decide to be the DJ who creates a playlist with tracks blending together seamlessly. More importantly, such a DJ enriches and enhances the enactment through creative and innovative mixes. It is amazing how such a DJ adapts and manages the handling of vinyl recordings, CD, or digital files. In other words for your life you could develop your awareness, consciousness thus productively use your energy. You learn from every experience and cultivate a better version of yourself throughout your life.

To be that awesome phenomenal “DJ of Your Life” there is four things you could do for yourself, these being:
  1. Select songs to play for your own life. As some would say, discover the purpose of your life and with passion fulfil that purpose
  2. Transition between songs seamlessly, with style. So, learn to ensure to take the ups and downs of life by never giving up; keep your focus. Yes, you will fall but get up so you can move on
  3. Make sure the audio output levels across the entire equalisation spectrum are correct from song to song; know as levelling which makes you a totally professional DJ. In other words you foster the art of balancing and integrating every aspect of your life
  4. Playing songs that are pleasurable, enjoyable and will affect the listener in a specific fashion. So, in essence serve yourself and others with great pleasure. Do this with your mind, heart and soul.
With the advancement in technology you can be a DJ who is a glorified button pusher or you can be the uniquely classy DJ who has learnt the art through vinyl records.

To say it in other words you can go live your life with minimum or no awareness, attention and focus. Or you can take a stand to be true to yourself and love yourself. Stop letting others dictate you. Stop being what others want you to be. Stop being second-rate. You know you really hurt yourself by following another.

Celebrate yourself. Be yourself. You have been given a beautiful life, so live it. Every one of us sometime or the other feels insecure and hurt. Being in this state just can be extremely painful. Being angry and stopping communication never resolves the matter. So, keep the doors of your heart and mind open and always carry a smile on that face of yours.

Laugh and smile, be carefree. Have an attitude of gratitude. Remember this is your life. You are the mystery. You are the journey. You are exquisite. You are magical. You are beautiful.

By being the “DJ of Your Life” be ready to release the magic you have from within and touch peoples mind, heart and soul.

Precious Gift

With faith and trust one gives you a precious gift, that valuable precious gift is their time and attention. And it is an amazing feeling to give this gift to people and activities you cherish the most. Yet many of us take the other person for granted. We all have a great ability to abuse another person’s time and attention by ignoring them.

You can always make more money to buy things and indulge in food, wine, clothes or followers on social media. But time and attention is an extremely rare gem.  Many of us have forgotten the idea and value of giving and receiving of time and attention. We tell others we are busy, cannot talk or have no time to meet up (our pathetic excuses are endless); a wonderful ability we have in ignoring someone who requests for some of your time. It is ironic nowadays we have no time to send a WhatsApp message but we have the time to see the message and not respond.

With great convenience we forget that the most the precious gift someone gives you is his or her time and attention. When you give someone your time and attention, you actually give a portion of your life that you will never get back. Our time and attention is our life and this is a precious gift to be given or shared with others. In life, it is virtually impossible to recapture this.

“Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can't make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. It is not enough to just say relationships are important; we must prove it by investing time in them. Words alone are worthless. "My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action." Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is "T-I-M-E.” - Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for?

Time and attention will not always be there waiting for you. Maybe it is about time you recognise and share your most precious gift.
